  Dunedin Botanic Gardens, South Island, New Zealand. Arboretum Area. This is the site of a 100m x 72m Chinese walled barrack block (fort). The giant rhubarb plant (correct name is Gunnera) is growing in the depression which was originaly the forts internal harbour. The cutting for the harbour access canal and ladder locks from the creek below, are visible from the adjacent path.
