Zhou Man – Voyage across the Pacific to Australasia – The Genetic Legacy
The Genetic Legacy of Zhou Man and Hong Bao’s Fleets suggests Hong Bao’s Fleet contained purely Chinese ships. He sailed from Calicut to the Caribbean thence down the Atlantic Seaboard of South America, up the Amazon thence to the River Paraguay.
The Genetics also suggest Zhou Man’s Fleet contained Chinese and Japanese ships and Mongolian sailors. This Fleet sailed from Calicut to the Falklands/ River Plate Estuary round the Cape Horn/ Straits of Magellan and up the Pacific coast of South America to Colombia. Japanese and Mongolian DNA can be found along this route.
The claim in the book 1421 is that Hong Bao’s Fleet sailed from South America eastwards before the roaring forties to SW Australia.
(Zheng He’s passage charts of SW Australia have recently been found in China).
The claim is that Zhou Man’s Fleet sailed for South America westwards across the Pacific to Australia’s East Coast. Zheng He’s passage charts of East Australia have also recently been found in China.
