Bronze artefact found in San Clemente, CA
This artefact was found approximately 30 years ago whilst a reader was walking on the beach in San Clemente, CA with his father. It was embedded in the sandstone cliff with a portion exposed. It was taken to be carbon dated, but the only outcome was that the item was "very ancient". One can see Mesoamerican / Asian type markings (square spiral) and a Demon/Deity face with slanted eyes and a wide grin (It is hard to see but there are 2 square spirals in the centre of the mouth as well.) It seems to be cast in three parts from a Bronze alloy. The size of the Artifact : it fits in the palm of one's hand, & is quite heavy for its size, which, along with the greenish blue patina, leads the owner to believe that it is made of some sort of copper alloy (Bronze). Any new information on this article would be much appreciated.
