(East Coast)

During an interesting discussion on the area, a local who has lived there for over fifty years informed me that he used to hunt wild pigs locally. He commented that these pigs were far different from normal pigs, in that they had coats with very thick bristles.

Many years ago I used to carry out engineering surveys for Factory Act compliance. One of my visits was to Harris Brushes, the paint brush manufacturer at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove, UK. Their quality brushes exclusively used the bristle from Chinese pigs. There used to be a stuffed Chinese pig in pride of place in the entrance lobby – a large ugly brute!
